Scott is a 39-year-old native of Cleveland, OH and has been involved in professional Catholic youth and family ministry for almost 18 years. He is finishing his 15th year at his current position as the Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parishes in York, PA. He holds a BA in History from New Mexico State University and attended Franciscan University of Steubenville for two years. He envisioned and developed the Fan the Fire Youth Rallies: Eucharistic-centered events for high school students that draw upwards of 500-800 people annually in both York, PA and Newtown, CT. He speaks at the parish, diocesan and national level to both teens and adults. Finally, Scott just completed his first book entitled The Gifts of the Holy Spirit: The Heart of Confirmation Catechesis. The book contains a forward by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades of Harrisburg, PA and the imprimatur. Scott has been married for 17 years to his beautiful bride Teresa and they have seven children: Mary Kate, Cecilia, John Paul, Max, Rose, Benedict and Joseph.

 

Scott has all of the necessary background checks completed that are required by the Diocese of Harrisburg (PA) as a condition for working with youth. Copies of these forms can be produced if required for him to speak in your diocese.
