Scott is a 38-year-old native of Cleveland, OH and has
been involved in professional Catholic youth and family
ministry for almost 17 years. He is finishing his 14th year at his current
position as the Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries
at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parishes in York, PA. He holds a BA in History
from New Mexico State University and attended Franciscan
University of Steubenville for two years. Despite never
having worked for a school, he has been a three-year honoree
of the Who’s Who Among
America’s Teachers Award. He envisioned and developed
the Fan the Fire Youth
Rallies: Eucharistic-centered events for high school
students that draw upwards of 500-800 people annually in
both York, PA and Newtown, CT. He speaks at the
parish, diocesan and national level to both teens and
adults. Finally, Scott just completed his first book
entitled The Gifts of the Holy Spirit: The Heart of
Confirmation Catechesis which should be published in
late summer 2009. The book contains a forward by Bishop
Kevin C. Rhoades of Harrisburg, PA and the imprimatur. Scott has been married for 16 years to his beautiful
bride Teresa and they have six
children: Mary Kate, Cecilia, John Paul, Max, Rose and
Benedict. |

(PA) as a condition for working with youth. Copies of
